Restaurant
The kitchen is the heart of our pub. Tom Blake and his team produce a River Cottage inspired menu which changes regularly and uses all the best local ingredients. It is simple, unfussy, fresh food at its best.
Children & Dogs
Children are welcome and can pick from their own menu or choose smaller versions of dishes on the main menu.
Dogs are welcome in the bar area.

Our Food
This starts with our own bread and cakes produced daily and also extends to our own cured hams and bacon, fresh fish delivered 6 days a week from the South coast and fresh meat such as pork provided by a local butcher’s own herd.
We want you to eat well, whether you’re after a large meal or a quick snack. Tom may not say much but he’s after your taste buds and doesn’t like to disappoint! Sunday lunch is also a special occasion for us, a great time to relax and eat at a leisurely pace. We offer a traditional roast as well as fish and vegetarian options. – come and try it out.
We also think that there is nothing more frustrating than finding the kitchen closed when you want to eat. So we run an all day bar snack menu alongside the main restaurant and pretty much anytime we’re open, you should be able to order something like our home made potted pig with freshly baked bread or a summer salad to accompany your pint or glass of wine.
You can eat where and when you like. In the Winter it should be nice to cosy up in the bar beside one of the woodburners. In the Summer, the garden terrace is a lovely sun trap and a perfect place for alfresco dining. Or you may want to watch the world go by and sit out front. You choose and we’ll bring it to you.
