Five weekends OF OUTDOOR EATING AND DRINKING
Monday 12th April – Sunday 16th May
The Georgian village inn’s comfort and charm now spills out into its large, covered, luscious terrace and garden. A comfortable and stylish setting with heaters and sheep skin rugs, you can take in the spring delights of this blooming country garden at the heart of glorious rural Somerset. We’ve turned things Inside Out and we’re ready to welcome you all back.
We’re all hoping for spring sunshine, dry days and warm evenings, but just in case the British weather doesn’t deliver, the terrace is covered and has a wood burner and sheepskin rugs to keep you cosy. You’ll be protected from the elements. We’ll keep you warm! But do come dressed for the occasion. A little layering is always wise! And, of course, you’ll need a face covering.
INSIDE OUT FOOD
The food is as inventive and scrumptious as ever, focusing on delicious farm-to-plate food, with an emphasis on local produce. A feast of modern British foundation enlivened by European, North African and Middle Eastern panache. Just what we’re hankering for after months of cooking at home. Local mile-friendly and fuss-free food with a twist. Think starters of smoked mackerel and Chalk Stream trout fishcakes or a warm salad of grilled asparagus, feta and orange salsa. Mains of miso roasted cauliflower, tomato & chilli & ginger and crispy chickpea cakes or roast fillet of market fish with crispy coppa & sorrel. There’ll be our famous triple cooked chips with smoked rosemary salt. And no feast would be complete without sampling the delights of a dark chocolate vegan mousse with chocolate sorbet honeycomb and cherry sauce.
